Joe, G, and JT are joined this week by WrasslorMonkey from Wrestling With Text, Jonkind from Wonderpod Online, our very own Drowgoddess, and have audio sent in by “Professor Salmon and Zwan.”  This unique cast of characters spend the first hour giving their predictions and thoughts on tonight’s SummerSlam event from the WWE, and the second hour is spent, as usual, talking wrestling  news.  Topics of discussion this week include injuries to Yoshi Tatsu and Pope D’Angelo Dinero, reactions to Kevin Nash’s comments about Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit, A.W.’s continued ranting, JBL’s thoughts on wrestlers “stealing” moves, the Scooby Doo/WWE collaboration, Claire Lynch’s apparent TNA departure, and much, much more!

You can find our guests for this week’s show elsewhere on the interwebs.  Jonkind is around on Wonderpod-Online, Wrasslor Monkey runs Wrestling With Text, Professor Salmon runs the music blog Music Times Two and works for Original Stampede Wrestling, and Zwan is behind Ailean Environmental Ltd.

<!—:en—>PatMan Picks : Free iPhone games. D-Day Normandy<!—:—>

Looking for an old school, arcade style shooter? Well, this one looks to have been inspired from the classic Commando coin op of the past and while maybe not as good as that classic game, its pretty darn fun once you level up a few ranks . Download  D-Day Normandy quickly, because its time as a free app on the iPhone is pretty limited. As of my time of posting this it is still free but I think it is one of those free for a day apps. D-Day is a decent controlling shooter with a lot of power ups to unlock by spending coins that you earn in game. Or,  I suppose, you could be lazy and stupid and buy coins for real money. But PatMan is about the free iOS games so forget those micro transactions and earn those coins people, after all what fun or challenge is there to have everything unlocked in a game when you start?  Finishing objectives will help you level up, then you can increase your health or buy new weapons. You can even call in an air strike, but it will cost you precious coins. Anyways, check out the game play screens I took below, and I will see you all on the next Patman picks!

ThinkSoJoE, G, and JT reconvene after WrestleMania 28 to give their thoughts on the show, including the very short World Heavyweight Championship match, the things that were on the show that could have been scrapped to make that match go longer, contrasting opinions on the Rock/Cena match, which two matches stole the show, and more. This post includes all of the content posted at both BoredWrestlingFan.com and Wonderpodonline.com for the week leading up to WrestleMania 27. Click below for all of last year’s content before we begin our online barrage of wrestling-themed content!

As we sit on the doorstep of the showcase of the Immortals, WrestleMania 27, I’d like to thank everyone involved in this project, especially you noble websurfer. We’re one hour away from the event itself, and we shall consider this the closing ceremonies, if you will.

I’m so stoked for this!

In what started as a neat idea, bloomed and grew quickly into a fantastic collaborative project… A Celebration of Professional Wrestling. Between the Wonderpod-Online and Bored Wrestling Fan websites, many of our staff came together to post a diverse variety of articles and podcasts for the week leading up to WrestleMania 27. This was not possible without the help of all involved.

So marks, smarks, ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages… go watch and enjoy the spectacle that unites the world of wrestling fans. Suspend disbelief. Thank you!

With the birth of PatMan Jr,  PatMan has been a little on the busy side as of late. This means little time for podcasting or posting articles and videos for you people, the  fine Wpod viewers. However today I have an epic post as PatMan Jr is transformed into his FIRST starring roll in a video game, at the tender age of 4 weeks! So ,sit back and enjoy PatMan Jr’s big debut on Wondrpod Online. If I am not careful he will replace me around these parts as he is much more cute than I can ever hope of being. Check out PatMan Jr.  playing Kinect Fun Labs right here at Wpod ! Have a good weekend everyone!

BWF Radio 10: Pintnoir and G form the Wolfpack

It’s Sunday, and you know that means it’s time for another installment of Bored Wrestling Fan Radio. This week was a little different than our regular format. ThinkSoJoE was kidnapped, and duct-taped to a chair by Stone Cold Steve Austin, J.T. tore his quad walking across the ring, and DrowGoddess turned face in Toronto facing the Rock. Since Vince McMahon never bothered to ressurect the Wolfpack, Pintnoir and myself did one better. We made the show happen. I’m not sure which of us is Sting or Scott Steiner, but I assure you, neither of us are Buff Bagwell.

This week we discussed the results of the Royal Rumble, RAW, Impact Wrestling, and Smackdown. We took time to focus on the little things while going through the results, addressing some issues that have bothered or pleased us during the week.

Download BWF Radio 10 here.

See, even when things are not planned, even YOU can record a podcast. Therefore:

BWF Radio 9: Royal Rumble 2012

Another podcast in the books, and aside from Drow’s mic sounding like it was used on a Marilyn Manson album, it went smoothly as Joe, G, JT, Drow, and WonderPod Online’s JonKind discuss the 2012 Royal Rumble Pay Per View. Right click the link below and save to listen!

One Year is in the Books…

G: That’s right folks. Today we celebrate our official one year anniversary of existing as Wonderpod-Online.com

Our first article went up one year at precisely the same time this little tribute goes up. It was an Impact Wrestling review by yours truly, of all things.

On behalf of all involved, I’d like to thank all our regular visitors for checking out this website. I’d also like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has contributed to this website over the year. Here’s to seeing you in 2013! Cheers!

PatMan: "What is going ON people"!?  Happy 1 year B-day/Anniversary to Wpod! The original idea started out, at least initially, as an official and reliable home to host  the great Wonderpod Video game podcast. It quickly became a very cool blog filled with web comics, video game articles, wrestling reviews, movie articles, game videos, editorials and much more, including several other podcast such as Retro Pod. In the last year Wpod has made some very cool and new friends from around the world and it has also been lucky to have many old friends from the past contributing here as well. I look forward to seeing even more friends contribute in 2012 to Wpod, both by sharing their great   and creative content on this site and also by posting exclusive Wpod content for the site as well!

From a personal stance, 2012 will more than likely feature less PatMan on both the website and the podcast as PatMan Jr. will be making his world wide release date in the first week of Feb!  Of course PatMan will still be around this fine corner of the internet.  However playing , talking about and posting articles featuring video games will be obviously taking a back seat to fatherhood and the other husband like responsibilities that come with it in 2012. Anyways , happy 1 year b-day to Wpod and I look forward to seeing how the site grows in 2012. 2011 was a fun and interesting initial year for Wpod, with a great group of posters. I cant wait to see what 2012 has in store for the wPo !

Bruce: Hello there, Bruce McGee here. Hard to believe that one year is already in the books for the website. Starting the podcast was easy. I had wanted to be a part of a video game podcast for some time before Wonderpod began and doing the show has been a fun ride. Starting the website was a much tougher call to make. I have been a part of a number of websites over the years and really had to sit back and think did I want to do it again. This first year hasn’t exactly gone like I had thought it might. That said I am very happy and proud with how the first year has gone. We have done a little over 45,000 unique page views and at least 1900 people have listened to the podcast. Small numbers by some standards to be sure, but not shabby for a group that can’t commit full time to this endeavor.

I first need to thank both PatMan and G. Two gentleman who offset my assholish tendencies very well. I of course would like to also thank anyone and everyone who took time to peruse the output of either WPO or the podcast. You guys are awesome and I appreciate each and everyone of you. Well okay that is not entirely true. There are a few running around who could fall in a well and die. See what I mean by assholish tendencies. Looking forward to 2012 and all the challenges it brings.
